Boro AfterProm will continue to use South Metro this year! To ensured a safe environment, we have communicated directly with the Washington Township Fire Marshal. Based on his recommendations, we will block off and supervise the recently damaged portion of the building at all times. The Fire Marshall assured us that the areas that we will occupy have no concerns. Luckily, this will not impact the fun on the upper deck, the ice, and the courts. We will be ready for a fantastic night!

What is Boro AfterProm?

Boro AfterProm is an after prom event on April 11, 2026, that starts at 11:00pm and ends at 2:00am. This event offers a safe, drug-free, alcohol-free, and fun space for the kids to hangout. It is held at South Metro Sports Complex (10561 Success Ln, Dayton, OH 45458). The kids can ice skate, play on inflatables, play games, eat, drink, dance, and win a raffle prize!

What does it cost and how do the kids get tickets?

The tickets are $10, but each when the kid arrives at the event they will receive a $10 gift card! Tickets must be purchased ahead of time and can bought during lunch when Prom tickets are on sale. Tickets CANNOT be bought at the door of AfterProm.

Who can go?

Any Springboro HS junior or senior. Also, anyone who attended SHS prom may also attend Boro AfterProm.

Does my kid need money once they are there?

No. All activities, food, and drink are free thanks to our fundraising and sponsors!

How do they get to the South Metro Sports?

Each kid is responsible for their own transportation to and from South Metro Sports.

What should the kids wear?

Kids go home and change then come to AfterProm. We encourage comfortable and appropriate clothes for the physical activities they can participate in while at AfterProm. Due to the nature of the venue, if it is cold out wear warmer clothing and if it is warm out wear cooler clothing. We highly encourage layers.

Can the kids leave early or leave then come back?

Yes, they may leave whenever they wish, but they may not reenter once they have left.

How does the raffle work?

The kids will each receive 50 tickets when the sign in. There are 50 raffle buckets, but over 75 prizes each worth at least $100! They can put all their tickets in one bucket, 1 in each, or spread them out however they wish! They must be present to win and the drawing starts at 1:30AM and ends by 2AM.

They can write their name on their 50 tickets OR they can swing by the ticket table at lunch and get 50 labels with their name. They bring these with them to AfterProm and stick them on the tickets!

How can I help?

Glad you asked! You can join the committee and help with fundraising efforts. You can support the fundraisers. You can donate money, gift cards, raffle items, and other needed things. Closer to the actual event we will be looking for about 40 volunteers to help the night of AfterProm.
